Note: Use only original labels, available from PlusOptix or an authorized dealer.
Note: After each measurement with the PlusOptix camera, any number of labels can be printed, however, once you return to the home screen, the label can no longer be printed without retrieving it from the data base.
Push the small "PlusOptix Button" under the screen to turn on the device [Boot time is about 20 seconds] When the screen with three blocks containing icons is displayed, press the middle block with what appears to be graph with two arrows and three circles.
A new screen with circles that contain numbers 0-6 and 99, select the circle that matches the age of the child.
The screen changes to include two flashing green screens at the top on each side of the screen with Go Button in each circle.
Touch the Go Button on the screen, which then displays a new screen with an icon of a person and one that looks like a camera, the warble sound starts.
Estimate the correct distance (approximately 3.3 ft) & point the smiley face (on the front of the camera) at the child.
Move (in or out) until the eyes are clearly focused with green circles around the pupils. You will hear the warble sound.
No need to push the shutter button again.
Note: Make sure the eyes are not covered by hair, masks, hats etc. and, minimizing IR light (e.g. sunlight) in the room may help with getting quicker results.
To save and/or print results tap the printer on the bottom left of the screen.

After entering all data, tap the green check mark symbol on the bottom right to save a pdf report and/or print a label
Note: You only need to enter the name information, if the child is referred to see an optometrist.
